2020: My Greatest Rant

Let me start by saying that 2020 has been an eye opening year. This year will really make or break you. Test you. Retest you again and then spit you out.

I have mourned for those that have passed from Covid19. I have cried over the senseless killings of African Americans. I have shaken my head till it has fallen off over the current president and I just have some things to get off my chest.

Firstly, for a country that is ‘rich’ America really isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed. For a country that is supposed to be an example of rights and freedom America has clearly shown the fine print on that contract. The response to this virus has been so bad that at this point we just need to let everyone run rampant. I was skeptical of this virus from the beginning…..what captured my skepticism? The fact that it came out of China with a whole name, category, symptom list, and strategy for repelling it ( ie. a mask, distancing). That right there told me everything I needed to know. This isn’t new. There is another Rona version out there that came before this one. However, the media wouldn’t reveal that because harping on death numbers was more exhilarating than the truth. And because the president downplayed the severity of the virus no one took it seriously and now loved ones are gone.

Instead of addressing the American people truthfully more lies came out and because everyone is freaking out no one really questioned it. How can a new disease already have a name, category, symptom list and a strategy to repel. Instead of expressing that anyone with an immunocompromised system should be extremely careful everything was downplayed to it not being that bad. A lot of lives could have been saved. Some wouldn’t have made it and others had a fighting chance but never received it. Which brings me to my next point and belief.

Now before you prepare my tin foil hat hear me out. As I am typing this out right now there has been over 200K deaths related to or because of Covid in America. I believe that number is heavily inflated. Not only have their been reports of loved ones dying in a car accident and having their deaths ruled as Covid….but there are also loved ones who were put on ventilators unnecessarily. Now I may not work in the medical field and I understand how overrun and tired those medical professionals were and I have to say that huge mistakes were made. People lost their lives for no reason and I believe with all my heart that every hospital that had Covid patients should be audited. I haven’t heard anyone say that or bring that point up. They may have been hero’s in saving lives but even hero’s make mistakes. I believe a lot of mistakes were made and someone should be held accountable.

Now you can prepare my tin foil hat for this next one. It seemed to me that during the peak of Covid there seemed to be a ‘race of the deaths’ in the hospitals. Who can report the most deaths is the vibe I was getting. Now again I don’t work in the medical field and I understand that it was war zone…..but we had lost all of our battalion if it was. Someone has to answer to all of this. Someone has to explain how someone can get into a car accident, go to the hospital (because that’s the only choice), then hours later end up dying from Covid. That doesn’t sit right with me. My gut is telling me that something wasn’t right.

Then to add salt onto the wounds the media had a field day with the Covid deaths. Everywhere you turned there was Covid deaths shoved in your face. There wasn’t a report about anything else. Not the flu, cancer, diabetes, strokes….it was all about Covid. I have a problem with people not paying attention to multiple things at once. Again my gut and spidey senses told me that something wasn’t right. Once a week I think I saw some survival numbers….but wait the media can’t stop there because afterwards they reported the after effects of Covid. Which anyone with half a brain would understand that with any sickness there will be after effects. This isn’t anything new. Viruses are also not new so I believe expressing to the American public that viruses don’t die they bounce from host to host would have been more straight forward then the booboo the fool story this administration came up with.

Do I believe that Covid exists and that people can die from it? Yes. Do I believe that Trump could have done better in informing the American people of the dangers and coming up with a solid plan? Yes. Do I believe that Trump is responsible for Covid? No. I believe that every world leader is responsible for Covid but most importantly China. That’s where it originated from and there is no denying that.

While other countries get to make positive changes America can’t even do that because everyone has gone out of control. People don’t believe something that they don’t see. That’s the problem with these people who don’t want to wear a mask. That is the ripple effect when you don’t educate your public properly and leave their imagination to run wild. It’s simple science. Covid can only be transferred through droplets and sweat. You have the mask to cover your mouth from people spitting, sneezing, and coughing. That stops the droplets. Gloves were needed because of sweat and to catch what I have previously said because people were still lowering their mask to sneeze and cough. It was simple but because the CDC, Trump, and the media decided to play dumb all the information got jumbled, fumbled, and muddled.

The CDC was better off telling the American public that they didn’t know anything. However, the CDC is funded billions of dollars a year and they had the nerve to not have the answers needed to smartly and proactively protect the human race. That is the saddest shit out of all of this and I sincerely hope that everyone is taking note of this failure. We have fake scientists and fake executives giving false information and not stepping up to do their job. Anyone else would be fired…..why do they still have a job?

Let’s move on from Covid for a second and on to the planned race wars. I would like to say that George Floyd’s and Breonna Taylor’s death was unnecessary and tragic as is any death of an unarmed black person. I have a son and to sit him down and explain to him what was going on is the hardest thing that I have to CONTINUOUSLY do. It’s a cycle to have to explain to my son to look out for the bad apples and to shake hands with the enemy. It’s a game I have been playing my whole life and it’s heavy.

I appreciate the honest and unwavering support from companies that have made internal changes to show that black people have a place. However, and I want to make it clear that we are not looking for a handout. Although I can only speak for myself, and has someone who is speaking for herself I want to be hired to a company based on my merit, get a reservation at a restaurant because there is availability and the owner believes I can pay for my meal, I want to walk into a store and not be followed because the associates trust that I won’t steal anything, I want to be able to go into a hospital….have them listen to my aches and pains….and actually believe me, I want to be able to relax in my home without the police shooting their way in and then saying oops after I’m dead, I want to be able to walk in the park without being suspect number 1 to a kidnapping. That’s the kind of change that we want when we say that Black Lives Matter. Not rice, not brands changing their icon black, not fake people jumping on bandwagons, not people following that up with All Lives Matter….which only proves that those of you who say that…. don’t listen.

Once the whole race war started after Floyd’s death actual history started to come out and some people who didn’t get it before understood our frustrations. It’s hard to have your whole history swept under the rug because of how dark and sinister it was. It wasn’t about just picking cotton. My God…. there was soooo much more that the schools glossed over. From George Washington using slaves teeth to replace his wooden ones to the Civil War only being about money and not necessarily freeing the slaves. Everything in between is too much to repeat and necessary for those who don’t understand to research if they want.

I don’t believe that things should be shoved down someone’s throat so if someone is interested in a subject they will do the research on it.

The ripple effect from the race war caused cities to burn and people to get really hurt. It was no longer about Black Lives Matter and turned into police brutality…which if you have saw the news wasn’t a hard ticket to sell. I watched as our constitutional right was being challenged. Why did police show up for a protest? There wasn’t a protest in Minneapolis. So what prompt them to show up in billion dollar armor for a protest? Then it turned into…..Hey! Where did police get all of this paramilitary gear from?…that’s when the shit hit the fan….and also an ‘I told you so’ was thrown in there from me. No one ever believes a black person when they say that police brutality exists but have it done to a white person and all of a sudden it’s the real deal.

That sort of denial will have to be broken down in another blog post.

While nurses and doctors were geared up in trashed bags…..your local police came out in waves with gear and tanks. Using illegal weapons and war style tactics to quell the protests. Smashing water supplies, routing protesters to a dead end street to gas them, firing rubber bullets that caused plenty of people to be injured on a serious level. I’m sure if they had their way real bullets would have been used.

It was incredible how quick the police was able to turn on their citizens instead of helping them. Marching with them. Listening to them. But most importantly making the changes with them. THAT is something they will never do. It could be me but if 5 people tell me that my underwear is showing through my leggings I’m going to check on that claim. It seems that the police doesn’t have that same moral. That’s a problem and again that is something that the black community has been saying since the police originally started….. to hunt down runaway slaves. But naysayers will say we don’t know what we are talking about.

On top of all of that and that is a lot and I knew this post would be long but I didn’t know it would be THIS long. We also have had a lot of celebrity deaths and stars who, if it wasn’t for quarantine, I wouldn’t have noticed how dumb they are and will no longer get my support. We need to stop supporting people who are tools to the music/acting industry instead of being an actual human being and speaking out on issues. You know who they are.

Citizens are not getting the proper help that is needed to keep their house or apartment. A lot of Americans have lost their jobs and haven’t been able to bounce back since March.

Corporations are going under for reasons that are still foggy to me. We are told our whole life to save for a rainy day and because these greedy corporations spent their savings on who knows what they can’t do the same. Again my gut is telling me that something isn’t right.

Don’t even get me started on the airline industry. Everytime there is so much as an oil spill they get a bailout but they couldn’t survive a month into quarantine…..at a time where all flights should have been grounded…..

I think I have ranted long enough. If you have made it this far then I appreciate you for reading as I lay everything that has been on my mind for the last 7 months on the table.

I will definitely do a part 2 of this rant because there is soooo much more to say. Stay tuned.

Peace
